چکیده

Real Wastewater from Kitchen Restaurant (RWKR) contains high concentrations of Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) pollutants to pollute the environment. One processing alternatives reduce BOD is adsorption method using activated carbon coconut shells. This study aims determine shell-activated as an adsorbent for organic matter in RWKR. The begins with making adsorbents that are activators on HCl 3 M, NaOH and H3PO4 then a preliminary test carried out select best activator shell Determining optimum conditions was by varying pH 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Variation contact time stirring speed 250 rpm, determined isotherm model. remaining wastewater will be measured DO meter based SNI 6989.72: 2009 concerning testing biochemical oxygen demand (BOD). results showed appropriate M average percentage value uptake 89.690%. process's at absorption 88.626%. 10 minutes model used Freundlich regression R2 = 0.8864.
